Últimos Días Original Oil Painting

Últimos Días grew out of the final week of my travels in Costa Rica, when an unexpected jungle retreat brought me together with newfound companions.

I painted it to hold onto the intensity of those last days: the connections formed, the resilience that travelling alone asks of you, and the feeling of being surrounded by a landscape so alive.

Layers of forest green, pale blue and soft pink move through the canvas in expressive, broken brushstrokes. The composition holds both the abundance of the jungle and the restless energy of an experience nearing its end.

At 120 × 170 cm, this original oil painting has an immersive presence, inviting you to step closer and discover the individual marks within the larger scene. This is the original artwork, not a print.

Oil on canvas, shown on 3.5 cm-deep gallery-wrap stretcher bars. Once re-stretched, it can be displayed without an outer frame.

For delivery, the canvas is carefully rolled and packed in a heavy-duty, impact-resistant art tube. It arrives unstretched and requires professional re-stretching before hanging.
