The anchor piece in my collection 'Where We Met'. 

This was the first piece I created in the collection when I first returned home from my solo trip. I think this was the only reference photograph, taken at my first 'Tourist Hotspot', I had taken purely with the intention to paint the image.

A worker at Monte Albán taking shelter from the midday sun, under a large tree over near the cliff edge, away from the crowds of tourists. I can feel the energy, momentum and optimism I had when I had just returned home captured so vividly in this piece, I don't think I ever saw myself painting such a flurry of colours and life. 

The piece features a 3.5cm Gallery wrap and can be displayed unframed.
